Alena Akhmadullina Spring-Summer 2020 fashion show

Alena Akhmadullina Spring-Summer 2020 fashion show took place on October 14th at The Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts.

Alena Akhmadullina Spring-Summer 2020 collection is inspired by the fairytale Tsarevna Swan, a character created by Alexander Pushkin in «The Tale of Tsar Saltan». The modern vision of the Russian style through the prism of the actual season’s trends is combined with decorative techniques inspired by the magical abilities of this noble royal woman.

The collection includes brand’s DNA dresses and suits in a casual chick style, an evening line with fashion show dresses, a line of outwear with oversize coats and quilted jackets, inspired by Russian national clothes, sheepskin coats and fur coats made in inlay technique.

The keynote of the collection is the reference to the theme of the Russian traditional shawl: starting with the basic silhouette dress, to which one can button up the shawls with different prints, and finalizing with the fashion show pieces that seem to be made of the entire shawl. The leitmotiv runs through the whole collection, combining with brand’s DNA Russian theme: the skew bottom cuts decorated with fringe, the puffed sleeves and the neck in the form of amber beads. The theme continues in the fur line: there is a fur coat with a pattern made in the inlay technique depicting the shawl with roses and fringe “thrown” over the shoulders.
